Bonjour, mes amies!
Antibes hits you before you even see it. The salt air, the light doing something unreasonable on the water, the feeling that you've arrived somewhere that has absolutely no interest in hurrying you along. I got there in that window between afternoon and evening when the Mediterranean goes glassy and the old town starts to glow, and I thought yes, this is the one.
Cap d'Antibes is not the French Riviera you've seen on Instagram. No super yachts, no scene, no obligation to be anywhere. It's the part of the coast that rewards the people who slow down, the narrow lanes that wind toward the water, the market that actually sells food instead of souvenirs, the lunches that become dinners because nobody wanted to leave.
That's exactly why I chose it.
Seven days. Long meals. The kind of evenings that start as dinner and end with someone saying "should we just get one more?" We'll wander the old town, drive the coast to places I've been quietly obsessing over for months, and go inland when the mood strikes. Some days will have a plan. Some days the plan will be abandoned for something better. Both are fine. That's kind of the point.
By the end of the week the Riviera won't feel like something you saw. It'll feel like somewhere you actually lived for a little while. The sea air in your hair, good wine in your memory, and a group chat that will absolutely not go quiet when you get home.
xo,
Stephanie
