Provence is Calling: Prepping for our May Retreat Magic

At Maison d’Amies, we don’t just host retreats—we obsess over the details so every moment feels effortless (and indulgent). With just a few short weeks until our guests arrive in Provence on May 11th for our luxury Provençal retreat, our team is already deep into the final stages of preparation—and yes, that includes making sure the champagne is chilled to perfection. 🍾
From the rolling vineyards of Ménerbes to the winding village paths of Gordes, the region is waking up for spring and we’re right there with it. The peonies are blooming, the rosé is flowing, and our villa is being polished from top to bottom to greet our guests in true Maison d’Amies style: relaxed, luxurious, and completely unforgettable.

Our founder will be arriving early to personally oversee every last detail. She works directly with our trusted local partners—from Pierre at Winovin, who curates our private wine tours and tastings, to Chef Jonathan, who creates seasonal menus that celebrate Provençal ingredients (he also owns and operates the delightful Restaurant Cuisine Centr'Halles inside the central market of Avignon if you're in the area!), and and mixologist Kevin of Drinkspirated, who will lead our cocktail class featuring the Maison d’Amies signature drink.
These relationships are years in the making, built on trust, shared values, and a commitment to offering guests a truly authentic and memorable experience in the South of France.
It’s this level of care and personalization that sets our retreats apart. Just this week, we partnered with the husband of one of our May guests to help him plan a birthday gift full of thoughtful travel essentials to surprise her—because for us, your trip begins long before you step off the plane.
Whether it’s a cozy recommendation for your carry-on, a local spot we know you’ll love, or a surprise touch waiting in your room, we believe your retreat should feel like it was created just for you—because it was.

This is slow travel at its most delicious. From market mornings in Ménerbes to private vineyard tastings and chef-prepared dinners under the stars, our May retreat promises to be full of connection, flavor, and that unbothered French magic you just can’t fake.
Can’t join us in May? Don’t worry—you can still be part of the Maison d’Amies story.
We have a few remaining spots on our September Vineyards & Vibes retreat and our cozy, literary Book Lovers Escape in November.
If Provence has been calling, this is your sign to answer.
